Thank you for wanting to learn more about REACT, our history, and what we offer to you as a future member.

In short, our main functions in the Central Oklahoma area are:

1. To serve your community by volunteering.
2. Work events and disasters in the community
3. Assist law enforcement and emergency management agencies wherever needed
4. Assist with communications at different events
5. Attend our regular monthly meeting and or Board meeting (if you are a Board member)
6. Have fun while serving the public and keeping everyone safe!
7. Attend training when available (EM. Hazmat, Weather, Communications, First Aid, etc.)

REACT OBJECTIVES  

  1. To assist in any emergency by furnishing radio communications in cooperation with authorities and other volunteer organizations.
  2. To practice and encourage operating excellence through skilled communications techniques. 
  3. To maintain equipment at peak efficiency and operate in accordance with all government regulations.
  4. To advise the public on correct, effective use of CB Emergency Channel 9.

REACT COOPERATION  

Teams participate in their communities' disaster preparedness plans through cooperative agreements with the American National Red Cross, the Salvation Army, and the National Weather Service. In addition, REACT International is a participating member of National VOAD (Volunteer Organizations Active in Disasters). Many of our State Council organizations and local Teams are also members of their State or sub-state chapters of VOAD.
